Mechanical Engineer

Pertemps Daventry is recruiting on behalf of one of our established clients for a Mechanical Engineer to join their friendly and growing team.\n
\nThis is a Temporary to Permanent opportunity offering £19.00 per hour, with the chance to secure a permanent position with a well-established business.\n
\nThis is a varied, hands-on role that would suit a forward-thinking, motivated engineer with a passion for fault finding, servicing and maintaining diesel engines. You'll be working in a supportive environment where customer service and engineering excellence are at the heart of everything they do.\n
\nThe Role\n

\n
• Service, rebuild, repair and maintain diesel engines
  
\n
• Diagnose faults on petrol, diesel and gas engines
  
\n
• Carry out electrical diagnostics and common rail/ECU fault finding
  
\n
• Work primarily from the workshop with occasional visits to customer sites
  
\n
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service
  
\n

What We're Looking For\n

\n
• Experience or qualifications in mechanical engineering
  
\n
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  
\n
• Experience working on diesel engines
  
\n
• Knowledge of common rail/ECU systems is advantageous
  
\n
• A proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a small team
  
\n

Working Hours\n

\n
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm
  
\n
• Friday: 8:00am 1:00pm
  
\n
• 30-minute lunch break
  
\n
