\nIgnition Driver Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor, to be basedwith our client in Doncaster. Our client is a nationwidehomeware & DIY retailer.\n
\nFull training will be provided for this role, but it is important that you candemonstrate previous experience in a similar role and show that you have transferable skills.\n
The Role:
Transport knowledge is preferable, as you will be working in a busy transport office, and the role will include:\n

• Leading the Transport Team, ensuring all duties are undertaken:
  \n
  \n
  • Ensuring on-time departure and exception reporting
  \n
  • Completing license checks for agency drivers and ensuring compliance with O Licence Regulations
  \n
  • Checking driver paperwork
  \n
  • Completing tachograph entries
  \n
  • Updating delivery schedules
  \n
\n
• Managing rota planning and ensuring staff absence is covered
\n
• Dealing with escalations and customer complaints
\n
• Managing the workforce with:\n
  \n
  • Performance & output
  \n
  • Disciplinary procedures
  \n
  • Mentoring & Engagement
  \n
  • Staff development
  \n
\n

You will play a key role in ensuring continuous improvement and encouraging the company culture at all times.
You will be reporting to the CDC Manager and you must be IT confident.
\n Working Hours:
The role is full-time,with weekend working required as the depot operates Tuesday to Saturday. It is important that you are able to be flexible when it comes to working hours.\n
