HGV Class 2 Driver (Store Deliveries)
Location: Plymouth
Shifts Available:
\n Monday to Friday OR
\n Tuesday to Saturday
Pay Rates:
\n £16.89 per hour
\n Overtime (after 48 hours): £19.42 per hour
\n Saturday & Sunday: £19.42 per hour
\n Bank Holidays: £33.78 per hour
\n 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Your Time at Work
\n We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a leading logistics operation based in Plymouth. This role involves multi-drop store deliveries across Devon, Somerset and Dorset, delivering chilled, frozen and ambient goods.
Duties Include:
\n Multi-drop store deliveries using cages
\n Delivering chilled, frozen and ambient products
\n Routes covering Devon, Somerset and Dorset
\n Completing between 4 and 9 drops per day
\n Conducting vehicle checks and completing paperwork
\n Maintaining excellent customer service at delivery locations
Shift Information:
\n Start times between 04:45 and 06:00
\n Average shift length of 10-12 hours
\n Unpaid 45-minute break on shifts over 8 hours
Training & Induction
\n Successful candidates will complete a comprehensive 3-week induction programme:
\n Week 1
\n Driving assessment
\n Classroom-based training
\n Completion of paperwork and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
\n Weeks 2 & 3
\n Buddying alongside an experienced core driver
\n Learning routes, procedures and customer requirements
Our Perfect Worker
\n Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
\n Minimum 3 months' commercial driving experience
\n Previous store delivery experience preferred
\n Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
\n No more than 6 penalty points
\n No major endorsements, including:
\n DD (Drink Driving)
\n CD (Careless Driving)
\n Driving without due care and attention
\n Other serious motoring offences
