Salary -£45,000£60,000 FTE (pro rata depending on experience)

Location -Predominantly home-based with occasional travel to our Cheshire office.

As our Employment Law division continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Employment Solicitor or Employment Lawyer to join our friendly, supportive and ambitious team on a part-time basis.

The Role

Working closely with our experienced HR professionals, you will advise a wide range of clients across different sectors on all aspects of employment law.

Your responsibilities will include providing practical, commercially focused employment law advice to employers.

• Advising on disciplinaries, grievances, capability, discrimination, redundancy and TUPE.
\n
• Drafting contracts of employment, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements.
\n
• Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to conclusion.
\n
• Representing clients at Preliminary Hearings where appropriate and liaising with Counsel on more complex matters.
\n
• Supporting our HR Consultants with complex employee relations issues.
\n
• Building strong client relationships and delivering an exceptional level of service.
\n

About You

We are looking for someone who -

\n
• Is a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer.
\n
• Ideally has at least one years employment law experience.
\n
• Has excellent drafting and communication skills.
\n
• Enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical commercial advice.
\n
• Can manage their own workload whilst working as part of a supportive team.
\n
• Is enthusiastic, approachable and keen to develop within a growing business.
\n
