CAD Cam Technician

Taskmaster Resources ltd is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD CAM Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team in S26 area. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise computer-aided design (CAD) models and programming computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems to facilitate efficient fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD software to support manufacturing projects, machining of a wide variety of materials including compact laminate, aluminium & polypropylene honeycombs, composite panels and foam plastics.
\n
• Program CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment utilizing CAM software to produce components with high precision.
\n
• Handle materials efficiently, including selecting appropriate tooling, managing materials handling processes, and maintaining inventory accuracy in the warehouse.
\n
• Apply basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations necessary for precise fabrication work.
\n

Experience

\n
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or similar automation systems is a plus.
\n
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software for designing and editing models.
\n
• Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines and programming CAM systems for production runs.
\n
• Knowledge of materials handling procedures, tooling selection, and safety protocols related to fabrication processes.
\n
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
\n
• Prior experience working with hand tools, welding equipment, or related mechanical tools is highly desirable.
\n

Working hours:Monday - Thursday: 06.00 - 15:00 & Friday: 06:00 13:00

Payrate: £17.50
