Location:Swadlincote, Derbyshire\n
Salary: £19.00 per hour\n
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, average 910 hour shifts\n
Contract: Ongoing work with potential for a permanent position\n
\nWe are currently recruiting experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Drivers for ongoing work with a well-established company operating a modern fleet of vehicles.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for the right driver, with the potential for long-term, ongoing work and the possibility of a permanent position.\n
The Role\n
As a Class 2 HGV Driver, your responsibilities will include:\n
\n
    \n
  • Delivering building materials to building sites
  • \n
  • Completing approximately 23 deliveries per shift
  • \n
  • Driving mainly curtain-sided vehicles
  • \n
  • Delivering to building sites with no handball required
  • \n
  • Working as part of a supportive transport team
  • \n
  • Following delivery instructions and completing all required paperwork
  • \n
  • Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is operated safely
  • \n
  • Working to agreed delivery schedules and company procedures
  • \n
The fleet is less than three years old, providing drivers with access to modern and well-maintained vehicles.\n
Working Hours\n

  • Monday to Friday, day work
  • \n
  • Average working day of approximately 910 hours
  • \n
  • Start times may vary depending on delivery locations and estimated mileage
  • \n
  • Occasional nights out may be required
  • \n
  • Weekend work is very rare
  • \n
Requirements\n
To be considered for this role, you must:\n
\n
    \n
  • Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
  • \n
  • Have held your licence for a minimum of 12 months
  • \n
  • Be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
  • \n
  • Have no more than 3 penalty points on your licence
  • \n
  • Have a good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
  • \n
  • Be reliable, professional and safety-conscious
  • \n
  • Be comfortable delivering to building sites
  • \n
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • \n
A full induction will be completed on your first shift, and you will receive all relevant information and instructions before starting work.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work with the potential for ongoing employment.\n
