\nWhat is the Jersey Advocacy Service Your Voice'Service?
\nThe Advocacy service has been running on Jersey since 2017 and gives children and young people up to age 18 a voice in Child Protection, Child in Need and other meetings that make decisions about them.
\nObjective of Service
\nTo give children a voice in meetings about them.
\nWhat does the Job Role involve?
\nYour duties will include:
\n- \n
- Meet with children on a 1-1 basis to obtain their views. \n
- Liaise with social workers and other professionals. \n
- Liaise with schools to arrange meeting times and spaces. \n
- Attend Child Protection, Child in Need or other meetings as required to ensure the voice of the child is heard \n
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team. \n
- Recording of information on Barnardo's systems. \n
You will have: (Essential Criteria)

- Experience of multi-agency working on Jersey. \n
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team. \n
- Experience of working with children and young people. \n
- Ability to travel throughout the Island to meet the requirements of the role. \n

\nWhilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.
