About the Role

\n

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will take full ownership of manufacturing leadership, performance, safety, quality and continuous improvement across the operation. Leading a close-knit production team of 8, you'll ensure customer orders are delivered safely, on time, to specification and profitably, while building manufacturing capability to support the company's continued growth. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on independent ownership and delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

    \n
  • Lead and develop a small production team, driving performance and accountability
  • \n
  • Plan and manage production schedules, resources and workflow to meet customer demand
  • \n
  • Own health & safety standards across the manufacturing operation
  • \n
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems in line with ISO 9001
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodology
  • \n
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to guide production
  • \n
  • Support process and product development, including new product introduction
  • \n
  • Act as a key member of the management team, shaping the future of the operation
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n

Essential:

\n
    \n
  • Based in the UK with the legal right to work in the UK
  • \n
  • Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role
  • \n
  • Strong background in manufacturing and production environments
  • \n
  • Experience managing production planning, scheduling and resource allocation
  • \n
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
  • \n
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, quality and operational performance
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • \n
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • \n
\n

Desirable:

\n
    \n
  • Experience within sensor manufacturing, instrumentation, electronics assembly or industrial manufacturing
  • \n
  • Knowledge of RTDs, thermocouples, mineral insulated assemblies or related technologies
  • \n
  • Experience supporting new product introduction and manufacturing process development
  • \n
  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
  • \n
