An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a growing engineering manufacturing business. Working as part of the Quality team, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet both internal and customer quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
\nThis position would suit an experienced inspector with a strong engineering background and excellent attention to detail.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection\n- \n
- Conduct first-off and 100% inspections throughout the manufacturing process \n
- Inspect and assess components at various production stages \n
- Produce and communicate inspection reports \n
- \n
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications \n
- Support sample approvals, First Article Inspection (FAI), and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities \n
- \n
- Organise and carry out calibration of measuring equipment and tooling \n
- Ensure calibration schedules are maintained and adhered to \n
- \n
- Support Quality Engineers with dimensional inspections and non-conformance investigations \n
- Assist in the operation of the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process \n
- Support engineering change activities and quality improvement initiatives \n
- \n
- Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) \n
- Maintain accurate quality records and reporting \n
- Promote high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping \n
- \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings \n
- Experience using inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges \n
- Understanding of weld symbols and weld inspection \n
- Strong communication skills \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team \n
- \n
- Calibration of measuring equipment and tooling (e.g. torque wrenches, pressure gauges) \n
- Experience using CMM equipment (e.g. Faro) \n
- Engineering, automotive, or manufacturing inspection experience \n
- Experience with Goods-In inspection, FAI, production inspection, and non-conformance investigations \n
- IT skills including Microsoft Office and SAP \n
- Engineering, Quality, or Science qualification \n
