Estimator - Civil Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join a well established & expanding Civil Engineering business in Hampshire

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, Groundworks and construction estimating, with the ability to accurately prepare competitive tenders, cost plans, and detailed estimates for a range of civil engineering projects.

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders.
\n
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
\n
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
\n
• Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and pricing.
\n
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings.
\n
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
\n
• Support the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission.
\n
• Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases.
\n

• Proven experience as anEstimator.
\n
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering & Groundworks methods and costs.
\n
• Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
\n
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
\n
• Confident negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
\n
• Proficient in relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software.
\n
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
\n
