HGV Class 2 Driver

Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver to work on behalf of one of our well-established clients based in Dukinfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driver who enjoys varied work, regular nights out, and being part of a friendly, supportive team.

The Role:

\n
• Delivering furniture to customers throughout the UK.
\n
• Monday to Friday with regular nights out.
\n
• Typical shifts of 812 hours.
\n
• Assisting with loading and unloading furniture when required.
\n
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
\n
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are carried out safely and efficiently.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
\n
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
\n
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.
\n
• Good level of physical fitness due to the role.
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
• A positive, reliable, and professional attitude.
\n

Pay & Benefits:

\n
• £16.81 per hour
\n
• Overtime paid at £22.06 per hour
\n

The above rate include holiday pay. If you prefer to accrue holiday separately, the pay rates would be £15.00ph and £19.68ph after 8 hours.

• £30.00 per night out allowance
\n
• Paid weekly via PAYE.
\n
• Ongoing support from the Driver Hire Stockport team.
\n
