We are seeking an experienced Floor Layerto join a well-established housing association on a long-term self-employed contract, delivering responsive repairs and planned maintenance across social housing properties in Norwich and the surrounding areas.\n
\nThis is a specialist role requiring a strong background in cap and cove flooring alongside basic plumbing experience. Working within occupied properties, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs while providing excellent customer service to tenants.\n
\nThis role may also suit professionals currently working in, or ready to step into, the following positions:Floor Layer, Vinyl Floor Layer, Flooring Installer, Multi Trade Operative (Flooring Bias), Multi Skilled Operative, Multi Trade Plumber or Wetroom Fitter.

- Install, repair and maintain cap and cove flooring. \n
- Complete all associated floor preparation works. \n
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance. \n
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance within occupied social housing properties. \n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. \n
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes. \n
- Manage your own workload and work independently across a designated patch. \n
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and client expectations. \n
\nWe're looking for an experienced Floor Layer with plumbing knowledge and a proven track record within the social housing or repairs and maintenance sector.\n
You'll have:\n

- Proven experience installing and repairing cap and cove flooring. \n
- Previous plumbing experience. \n
- Experience working within social housing, responsive repairs or planned maintenance (desirable). \n
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload. \n
- A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach. \n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. \n

- \n
- Formal qualifications such as NVQs or City & Guilds are not essential. Our client is primarily interested in candidates who can demonstrate the right level of practical experience and a proven track record within the role. \n
