The job: set within a luxurious hotel in the heart of Perth & Kinross, this role offers the opportunity to create exceptional dishes using fresh Scottish produce in a stunning 5-star hospitality setting, with live in accommodation provided.

The person: an experienced Sous Chef, or ambitious Chef de Partie ready to step up, with a passion for high-quality food, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive as part of a talented kitchen team.

As our Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in assisting the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
\n
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to a consistent standard
\n
• Lead, motivate and support the kitchen team during service
\n
• Manage stock levels, ordering and food costs
\n
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
\n
• Assist with menu planning using fresh, seasonal Scottish produce
\n
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an excellent guest experience
\n
• Support weddings, private dining and special events
\n
• Help develop new dishes and continually improve the food offering
\n

You have previous experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star or luxury hospitality setting. You'll ideally have:

• Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes
\n
• Experience contributing to seasonal menu planning and development
\n
• Confident leading, motivating and developing a kitchen team
\n
• Excellent communication skills with a strong command of English
\n
• Organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
\n
• A positive, hands-on approach with a commitment to high standards
\n
• Available to start immediately and quickly settle into a temporary role
\n
