HGV Driver

Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a long-term opportunity with consistent Monday to Friday work?

iRecruit4 are recruiting on behalf of a well-established distribution business based in Swindon for a reliable and hardworking HGV Driver to join their transport team.

This can be a physically demanding HGV Driver role, completing multi-drop deliveries to commercial customers. The position would suit an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver who enjoys being on the road, providing excellent customer service, and getting involved with the loading and unloading of deliveries.

Pay, Hours & Benefits for Class 2 HGV Driver:

• £17.30 per hour
\n
• Overtime paid at £21.00 per hour
\n
• Monday to Friday working
\n
• 6:00am starts until finish
\n
• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience required
\n
• Weekly pay
\n
• Immediate start available
\n
• Long-term opportunity with potential to become permanent
\n
• No weekend working
\n
• Full training and induction provided
\n
• Supportive and friendly transport team
\n
• Stable full-time HGV driving hours
\n

Duties for Class 2 HGV Driver:

\n
• Completing multi-drop deliveries to commercial customers
\n
• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) HGV vehicle safely and efficiently
\n
• Loading and unloading deliveries using a tail lift and pump truck
\n
• Carrying out manual handling throughout the working day
\n
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
\n
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
\n
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
\n
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
\n

Requirements for Class 2 HGV Driver:

\n
• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
\n
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
\n
• Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Minimum 6 months HGV / Class 2 driving experience
\n
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
\n
• Experience using a tail lift and pump truck is advantageous
\n
• A reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
\n
• Good knowledge of Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation
\n
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
\n
