Start Date: September 2026
Location:Orchard School, Filton Road, Horfield, Bristol, BS7 0XY
Working hours will be Monday to Friday between 7:30am to 6pm. This could be 4 days a week for example, working 7:30/8am to 6pm

About the Role

As an EYITT Trainee, you will:

\n
    \n
  • Support children's learning and development across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • \n
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's progress
  • \n
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's development
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • \n
  • Promote children's language, literacy, mathematical, and social development
  • \n
  • Support inclusive practice to ensure every child can thrive
  • \n
  • Contribute to learning journals, assessments, and reports
  • \n
  • Work alongside experienced Early Years professionals to develop your teaching practice
  • \n
  • Support safeguarding, wellbeing, and child development outcomes
  • \n
About the EYITT Programme\n

The 12-month EYITT programme, delivered by Best Practice Network, combines workplace learning with specialist teacher training.

The programme includes:

  • Achievement of Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
  • \n
  • Monthly training days with Best Practice Network
  • \n
  • Dedicated support from an experienced tutor and mentor
  • \n
  • Online learning, webinars, and professional development activities

  • Workplace-based training and observations
  • \n
  • Regular reviews to support your progress

  • A 25-30 day school placement to broaden your teaching experience and understanding of children's transition into school

There is no requirement to attend college on a weekly basis, as training is delivered through a blend of online learning, workplace practice, training days, and supported placements.

Entry Requirements\n

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (in any subject)
  • \n
  • GCSE English Language Grade 4 (C) or above
  • \n
  • GCSE Mathematics Grade 4 (C) or above
  • \n
  • GCSE Science Grade 4 (C) or above
  • \n
