Pharmacist Manager
\nHours Monday to Sunday - Various shift patterns options
\nHourly RateFrom £26.00 per hour depending on experience.
\nMain purpose of the role
\nAs a community pharmacist you will be able to offer expert advice on the prescription and use of medications. Dispensing drugs to patients and providing advice on how to take them safely. Supervise the prescriptions dispensed to patients to ensure their safety, quality, and compliance with law. Responsible for managing, supporting and training direct reports.
\nPrimary responsibilities
\nDispensing medications to patients
\nCheck prescriptions for accuracy and safety
\nEnsures legal compliance in the pharmacy, reviewing labels, doses and procedures
\nSecures and monitors controlled drugs to maintain regulatory compliance
\nSupervises and trains other pharmacy staff such as technicians and counter assistants
\nCommunicates with doctors about prescriptions
\nAdvised patients on proper use of prescription medication
\nDiscusses side effects and potential adverse interactions of drugs
\nOffers various wellness and screening services
\nTo develop, promote and provide NHS & private services
\nManage pharmacy stock and budget
\nUses IT to maintain records and track stock
\nResponsible for the management and development of employees ensuring compliance with legislative and company policy & procedure.
\nRemains aware of latest pharmaceutical products, developments, and laws
\nAny other duties as requested
\nPerson specification
\nWell groomed and presentable.
\nRelevant degree in Pharmacy
\nRegistration with GPHC
\nPharmacist experience essential
\nSupervisory / Management skills
\nAbility to use own initiative
\nAbility to work effectively to deadlines
\nHigh level of concentration
\nMethodical and accurate approach to practical tasks
\nStrong communication and excellent customer service skills
\nTrustworthy and understanding of confidentiality issues
