\nCBW is recruiting an experienced Shift Leader to join the engineering team at a prestigious Grade A commercial office building in the heart of Canary Wharf's financial district. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work within a modern, high-specification building, delivering first-class building maintenance across a technically advanced environment occupied by leading commercial and financial organisations.\n

Key Duties\n
\n

\n
• Lead, motivate and support the on-site shift engineering team.
\n
• Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently using the site's CAFM system.
\n
• Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance when required.
\n
• Diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity.
\n
• Monitor the quality of maintenance activities, documentation and housekeeping standards across the site.
\n
• Manage spare parts and ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
\n
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and job documentation.
\n
• Prepare, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work.
\n
• Support the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-performing building environment.
\n

Requirements\n
\n

\n
• Fully qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
\n
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
\n
• Experience with critical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers and power distribution.
\n
• Previous experience leading an engineering shift team within a critical or large commercial environment.
\n
• Excellent fault-finding, communication and problem-solving skills.
\n
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional engineering standards.
