The Role

You will join a busy preconstruction team working on a mix of new build, refurbishment, alteration and fit-out projects up to £20m. Work spans multiple sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Community, Industrial, Leisure & Retail and Commercial Buildings. Working hours: 8.30am 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.

A key part of the role will include mentoring and supporting an Assistant Estimator, helping them develop their technical skills, commercial awareness and confidence within the team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost plans, tenders and estimates
\n
• Leading the estimating process across multiple projects
\n
• Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams
\n
• Liaising with supply chain partners to secure competitive pricing
\n
• Providing guidance and day-to-day support to an Assistant Estimator
\n
• Supporting junior team members where required
\n

About You

\n
• Experienced Estimator within the construction industry
\n
• Background working for a main contractor on new build or refurbishment schemes
\n
• Self-directed, organised and highly motivated
\n
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
\n
• Strong team player with good communication skills
\n
