Class 2 Refuse Driver

The Staffing Network are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client, who specialises in Waste Management and transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.

New HGV Driver Bonus: £150 after 4 weeks work based on 40 hours minimum each week worked Total of 160 hours or 20 shifts

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday | 6.00 am till 3 pm

Industry: Waste & Recycling

Duties & Responsibilities

The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed.

A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential.

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
\n
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
\n
• Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
\n
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
\n
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely
\n

Requirements

\n
• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months)
\n
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card
\n
• Good team working skills and good communication skills
\n
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
\n
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
\n
