People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Shop Fitter / POS Installer to join our well-established client based in Tewkesbury. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Shop Fitter, POS Installer, Retail Fitter, Display Installer, Signage Installer, Installation Operative, Fit-Out Operative, Interior Installer, Retail Installation Technician or Fitter.

Shifts

 • Various Day & Night shifts | Monday to Sunday
\n  • Guaranteed 39 hours per week
\n  • Nights away and weekend working required as part of the role

Rates of Pay

 • £13.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience and shift pattern)
\n  • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Shop Fitter / POS Installer, your duties will include:

 • Installing retail signage, POS equipment and display systems at customer sites
\n  • Completing installations independently or as part of a professional fitting team
\n  • Working from technical drawings, plans and site surveys
\n  • Loading, unloading and transporting materials safely and securely
\n  • Completing installation paperwork accurately
\n  • Representing the company professionally whilst working on customer sites
\n  • Travelling throughout the UK with occasional overseas assignments
\n  • Following all Health & Safety procedures at every installation

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Previous experience as a Shop Fitter, POS Installer, Retail Fitter or similar installation role
\n  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum three penalty points)
\n  • Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements on construction and retail sites
\n  • Ability to read technical drawings and installation plans
\n  • Excellent practical skills and attention to detail
\n  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working on customer sites
\n  • Valid passport and willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas

Desirable Experience

 • Experience driving a 3.5 tonne van
\n  • Valid IPAF Licence
\n  • Previous experience installing retail signage or display systems

Training Provided

 • Full training on company policies and procedures
\n  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
