Salary: £55,000 - £57,000 + Benefits
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer to join my clients growing team, providing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and installation work across a portfolio of commercial properties throughout London.
\nThe commercial gas engineer will work independently and as part of a wider engineering team to ensure commercial gas systems and associated plant are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas appliances and systems. \n
- Diagnose faults and complete reactive maintenance and repairs efficiently. \n
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers, water heaters, warm air units, radiant tube heaters, and associated gas equipment. \n
- Undertake minor installation and replacement works where required. \n
- Complete all statutory testing and certification in line with current regulations. \n
- Ensure all work complies with Gas Safety Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company procedures. \n
- Produce accurate service reports, risk assessments, and maintenance records using electronic job management systems. \n
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues. \n
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota (where applicable). \n
- Identify opportunities for remedial works and report recommendations. \n
- \n
- Valid Commercial Gas qualifications including relevant ACS certifications (such as CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1). \n
- Proven experience working on commercial gas systems. \n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. \n
- Good understanding of commercial heating systems and controls. \n
- Full UK Driving Licence. \n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. \n
- \n
- LPG qualifications. \n
- F-Gas certification. \n
- Electrical knowledge or relevant qualifications. \n
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). \n
- Experience working within schools, healthcare, retail, or commercial office environments. \n
- Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH Working Safely). \n
- \n
- Strong attention to detail. \n
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused. \n
- Excellent problem-solving ability. \n
- Flexible approach to working across multiple sites. \n
- Good IT skills for digital reporting. \n
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. \n
