\nNew Build & Refurbishment (50/50) | Typical Projects £1m£5m | Salary £50,000£70,000 + Car/Allowance
\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pre-Tender Planner to join a well-established, privately owned main contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. This role suits someone looking to further their planning career within a stable, supportive business delivering a mix of new-build and refurbishment projects.
\nThe company works across commercial buildings, education, healthcare, heritage, leisure, community facilities, residential, fit-outs and specialist refurbishments. Typical schemes range from £1m£5m, with the wider business capable of delivering projects up to £10m.
\nYoull be joining the Pre-Construction and Estimating team, working alongside two other Planners and supporting Estimators throughout the tender process. There is clear room for progression as the team continues to grow.
\nThe Role
\nProducing tender and pre-construction programmes
\nPreparing logistics plans, method statements and phasing strategies
\nWorking closely with Estimators during the tender process
\nAssessing buildability, sequencing and construction methodology
\nReviewing tender information and identifying risks, opportunities and key programme drivers
\nSupporting design development during pre-construction
\nLiaising with clients, internal teams and supply chain partners
\nPresenting planning information when required
\nEnsuring all planning documentation is accurate and aligned with tender requirements
\nAbout You
\n5+ years experience in a Planning or Pre-Construction Planning role with a UK main contractor
\nStrong experience producing tender programmes, logistics plans and method statements
\nBackground across both new-build and refurbishment projects
\nAble to work independently during tender stages
\nProficient with Asta Powerproject or similar software
\nGood understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
\nStrong communication and coordination skills
\nFull UK driving licence preferred
