overtime after 8h £24.75/h or £27.73/h with holiday included

About the Role

Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston.

This role involves nationwide deliveries and collections, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• 1-3 stops per shift
\n
• Secure loads safely and follow correct strapping procedures.
\n
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
\n
• Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding issues or delays.
\n
• Maintain accurate paperwork and a professional attitude at all times.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with current CPC and Digi Tacho card.
\n
• Minimum 1 year UK experience in a similar role.
\n
• Strong knowledge of EU driver hours, regulations, and compliance.
\n
• No more than 6 points on your licence and no major endorsements (e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).
\n
• Reliable, flexible, and customer-focused.
\n
• Able to complete paperwork accurately and follow instructions independently.
\n
