Your Teaching is currently recruiting for Primary School Teachers to join a number of highly regarded and supportive primary schools across Croydon.
\nThese are fantastic opportunities to join welcoming schools with strong leadership, engaged pupils, and collaborative teaching environments. Successful candidates will begin in September 2026, giving teachers plenty of time to prepare for the new academic year and become part of their new school community.
\nSchools are keen to identify the right candidates early and are arranging lesson observations, trial days, and interviews as soon as possible. This allows both the teacher and the school to assess whether the role is the right fit before formal appointments are made.

About the Role\nAs a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.

Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive attitudes to learning.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers.

Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
\n - \n
Contributing to the wider life of the school community.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
\n - \n
Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school.
\n - \n
Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
\n - \n
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
\n - \n
Ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons effectively.
\n - \n
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
\n - \n
Right to work in the UK.
\n - \n
Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
\n - \n
Available full-time (5 days per week).

Previous primary school teaching experience is essential. These positions are not suitable for candidates without classroom teaching experience in a UK primary school setting.
