\nAre you an experienced fire safety professional looking for a role where your expertise will genuinely make a difference?
\nWe are supporting a highly respected housing organisation to appoint a Fire Safety Manager, a key leadership position responsible for shaping and delivering fire safety compliance across a large residential property portfolio.
\nThis is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical safety function, providing professional leadership, assurance and direction across fire risk management, remediation programmes, fire doors, passive fire protection and resident safety.
\nWorking closely with senior leaders, operational teams, contractors and external stakeholders, you will play a central role in ensuring that fire safety risks are identified, managed and continuously improved; helping to keep residents safe in their homes.
\nThe role
\nAs Fire Safety Manager, you will:
\nLead the organisations fire safety strategy, governance and assurance framework
\nAct as the lead competent fire safety professional, providing expert advice and challenge
\nOversee fire risk assessment programmes, remedial actions and compliance improvement plans
\nDrive delivery of fire door, compartmentation and passive fire protection programmes
\nProvide clear reporting and assurance to senior leadership and governance forums
\nSupport incident investigations, enforcement responses and continuous learning
\nLead and develop a specialist fire safety team
\nBuild strong relationships with residents, contractors, regulators and internal stakeholders
\nAbout you
\nYou will be an experienced fire safety professional with a strong background in residential environments, ideally within social housing, local authority housing or a similarly complex setting.
\nYoull bring:
\nSignificant experience managing fire safety compliance across occupied residential buildings
\nStrong knowledge of fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, Fire Safety Act, Fire Safety (England) Regulations and Building Safety Act requirements
\nExperience overseeing fire risk assessments, fire door programmes and passive fire protection works
\nThe confidence to influence senior stakeholders and challenge where necessary
\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage residents, contractors and leadership teams
\nA practical, risk-based approach with a passion for improving safety standard
\nA relevant fire safety qualification (Level 4 or above, or equivalent professional competence) and evidence of continued professional development are essential.
