HGV Class 1 Driver Duties

As a Class 1 C+E Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving modern refrigerated HGV Class 1 vehicles.
\n
• Delivering chilled goods to retail stores.
\n
• Trunking between regional distribution centres.
\n
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are carried out safely and efficiently.
\n
• Average shift length of approximately 10 hours.
\n
• Full-time and part-time shifts available across weekdays and weekends.
\n

HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates

Shifts Patterns

\n MonFri AM (03:3012:00) £21.07 (inclusive of holiday)
MonFri Afternoons (12:0022:00) £22.43 (inclusive of holiday)
MonFri Lates (22:0003:30)£23.80 (inclusive of holiday)
Sat/Sun Days (04:0012:00) £24.66 (inclusive of holiday)
\n Sat/Sun Nights (12:0004:00) £28.58 (inclusive of holiday)

What We're Looking For

To apply for this HGV Class 1 Driver position, you must have:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
\n
• Held your Class 1 C+E licence for a minimum of 2 years.
\n
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
\n
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
\n
• Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
\n

HGV Class 1 Driver Assessment & Induction

Before starting work, all Class 1 C+E Drivers will complete:

\n
• A paid on-site driving assessment (paid upon successful completion).
\n
• A paid two-day induction programme.
\n
• Assessment and induction are paid at £21.07 per hour.
\n
