Repairs Officer (Voids)

Location: Northamptonshire Contract: 3-month rolling contract Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm) Rate: £28.73 per hour PAYE Start: ASAP

We're looking for an experienced Repairs Officer (Voids) to join a busy housing repairs team.

\n

### The Role

\n

You will be responsible for managing the void property process from inspection through to completion, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready for new tenants.
\n Duties include:

\n

\n
• Carrying out void property inspections and preparing specifications of work.
\n
• Undertaking site safety inspections.
\n
• Completing work-in-progress visits to monitor contractor performance.
\n
• Carrying out snagging inspections and post-completion quality checks.
\n
• Ensuring works are completed to required standards, within budget and agreed timescales.
\n
• Liaising with contractors and internal teams to deliver an efficient voids service.
\n
• Maintaining accurate records and inspection reports.
\n

\n

### Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in a repairs, maintenance or voids surveying role. Experience carrying out property inspections and producing work specifications. Good knowledge of housing repairs, maintenance and health & safety legislation. Experience managing contractor performance and quality inspections. Strong communication and organisational skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.\n
