HGV Class 1 ADR Night Driver – Middlesbrough

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, ADR Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 ADR Night Driver, your duties will include:

 • Transporting goods on curtain-sided vehicles with no handball involved
\n  • Completing trunk runs between depots and client sites
\n  • Operating and driving HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
\n  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
\n  • Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant with legislation
\n  • Adhering to all traffic laws, ADR regulations, and company procedures
\n  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
\n  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
\n  • Completing all relevant paperwork and tachograph records accurately

Essential Skills

As an HGV Class 1 ADR Night Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
\n  • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Class 1 (CE) vehicles
\n  • Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • Valid ADR Certificate (essential)
\n  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
\n  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
\n  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
\n  • Good understanding of UK road transport and ADR regulations

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial driving experience in trunking or regional logistics
\n  • Previous experience operating curtain-sided vehicles
\n  • Experience transporting ADR goods would be advantageous

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
