CNC Programmer Setter Operator

An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer Setter Operator & Sliding Head Setter Operator to join a well-established company!

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV2.

About The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced machinists to join one of the UK's leading award-winning manufacturers of high-quality special fasteners.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we currently have two positions available:

CNC Programmer Setter Operator

Sliding Head Machine Setter Operator

Key Responsibilities:

Programming, setting and operating CNC or sliding head machines.

Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

Working from engineering drawings and specifications.

Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods.

Adjusting and optimising existing programmes.

Creating programmes for new jobs.

Conducting self-inspection and quality checks throughout production runs.

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.

Working effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative.

Operating different machines as required by production demands.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

Previous experience in CNC programming, setting and operating, or sliding head machine setting and operation.

Experience using measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, calipers and gauges.

The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, particularly for turned and threaded components.

A strong understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am 3:45pm
