As part of their continued investment for growth in the UK market, they are now looking to further strengthen their technical team resources with the appointment of an Assistant Technical Services Manager.
\nThe Role
\nReporting to the Technical Manager this new position will have a major influence on the smooth running of the technical department team, working cross functionally with both internal key stakeholders in the UK, France and Spain as well key B2B food manufacturing, grocery retail and foodservice customer facing contacts.
\nKey responsibilities will include both managing and hands-on writing product specifications and portal management, customer-led factory audits plus working as part of the team managing HACCP and BRC system procedures and processes, all focused on delivering the departmental objectives and KPIs.
\nAdditionally, in the future the role will assume technical departmental management responsibilities in the absence of the Technical Manager, so operating within the UK senior leadership team environment.
\nAbout You
\nIdeally educated with a food science HNC or degree, you have c2-3 years technical, quality or food compliance experience working in B2B food manufacturing or a food retailer and are now looking to step up your career to a broader-based technical role in a growing and highly collaborative teamworking business.
\nTo be considered for this position, you will require hands-on experience of writing detailed food specifications and managing any major customer portal administration processes, either supporting or conducting customer-led factory audits, plus a clear understanding of modern HACCP management system processes ideally to level 3, plus an appreciation of BRC audit management and processes.
\nAdditionally, you will have developed your broader technical knowledge to include audit and certification management, understanding the detailed demands of major customers, product governance & regulatory affairs, systems & data management and operational/commercial support.
\nYou are an outgoing, friendly people person who really enjoys working as part of a small team. You are professional, adaptive to change and new ideas, proactive and work to high standards with strong personal integrity and values. Above all, you have the drive and determination to deliver in this important role with the potential and ambition to progress into a more senior role in the future.
