\nLocation: Corby, Northamptonshire\n
\nSalary: £14.00 £15.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)\n

\nAbout the Role\n
\nPertemps is recruiting a skilled and versatile Heavy Plant & Telehandler Operator to join our established waste management client, Baileys Skip Hire, at their active recycling facility in Corby.\n
\nIn this role, you will play a key part in daily yard operations. While the site utilises 3.5T Telehandler trucks for moving materials, you will also be regularly operating heavy machineryspecifically a 360-grab excavator and a Loading Shovelto sort, load, and manage incoming waste.\n
\nWorking Hours & Shift Patterns\n
\nThis position offers excellent earning potential with generous weekly hours.\n
\n?Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM\n
\n?Saturdays: 7:00 AM 12:00 PM\n
\nSaturday frequency is negotiable (e.g., every Saturday or every other Saturday).\n
\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n?Waste Handling: Safely operate a 360-grab to sort, stockpile, and feed various waste streams into processing equipment.\n
\n?Yard Loading: Operate the Loading Shovel to move bulk materials and load bulkers or skips.\n
\n?Telehandler Operation: Utilise the on-site 3.5T Telehandler trucks for transporting sorted materials and organising the yard safely.\n
\n?Maintenance & Checks: Complete daily pre-start safety inspections and routine maintenance (greasing, fluid top-ups) on all operated machinery.\n
\n?Health & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to site health and safety rules within a busy, high-volume waste environment.\n
\nExperience & Requirements (Essential)\n
\nIndustry Experience: Proven track record working within the waste management or recycling industry.\n
\n?Machinery Competency: Hands-on experience driving/operating a 360 Excavator, Loading Shovel, or JCB.\n
\n?Licenses/Tickets: Relevant and valid plant cards (e.g., CPCS, NPORS) for 360 Excavator, Wheeled Loader, or Telehandler are highly advantageous.\n
\n?Reliability: A strong work ethic and the physical stamina required to handle a 12-hour weekday shift pattern.\n
