Electrician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician for a job at Salisbury Hospital installing LED lighting. Applicants must hold a valid JIB Gold card.

Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools
\n
• Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance
\n
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals accurately
\n
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards
\n
• Diagnose electrical issues efficiently and implement effective solutions promptly
\n
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations for documentation purposes
\n
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects safely and on schedule
\n

Requirements

\n
• Proven experience working with electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings
\n
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws
\n
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics
\n
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety regulations
\n
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
\n
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
\n
• Valid electricians license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred
\n
