HGV Class 2 Driver

Just Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Witham in their search for an HGV Class 2 Driver.\n
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the products are transported safely and efficiently from the factory to customers across the UK. A valid Moffatt License, or experience using a Moffatt are highly desirable.\n
\nThis is a multidrop delivery role, with 6-10 deliveries a day dependent on size and location, it involves a large amount of city driving, and early starts from HQ in Witham. You may be asked to stay out overnight on some occasions and if this is required, you will be provided a 'night out allowance'\n
\nDuties include:\n
\nProvide customers with an accurate and efficient delivery, maintaining excellent levels of customer service.\n
\nLoading/ securing and unloading products ensuring it is secure for transportation. Some manual handling is expected in this role.\n
\nPlan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.\n
\nInspect vehicles daily for safety and mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks taking appropriate action where necessary.\n
\nAdhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times. Report any accident or damages as soon as possible.\n
\nMaintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance and any other documentation required.\n
\nAttend any and all relevant training as required, ensuring you remain fully equipped to perform your role.\n
\nMaintain excellent communication with the internal transport team and other drivers.\n
\nPerson specification:\n
\nHGV Class 2 licence or (above).\n
\nValid (in date) driver CPC and Digital Tachograph.\n
\nMoffett Licence highly desirable.\n
\nHGV multidrop experience is an advantage but not essential.\n
\nExcellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.\n
\nStrong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.\n
