Job Description
My client is looking for a Hardware Specialist to join our Christchurch, Dorset team. The role will be hands onsite full time.
\nAs a Hardware Specialist at our Christchurch location, your responsibilities will include:
\nBridging the gap between Production Engineering and Design Engineers. When business-related technical challenges arise, Hardware Specialists get involved to resolve them with a minimum disruption to manufacturing or design engineering. This requires broad-based engineering skills, though the position is principally electronics based.
\nObsolescence Engineering, Technical Specialists get involved in all aspects of Obsolescence Engineering, including report writing and checking and technical analysis of replacement parts.
\nLocation: Christchurch, Dorset
\nKey requirements:
\nA pro-active approach to problem solving
\nAble to produce accurate records of all work undertaken
\nAdept at technical report writing
\nCapable of diagnosing and fault-find a variety of products to component level
\nWhat You Bring
\nBroad-based knowledge of Digital, Analogue and Microcontroller based circuitry
\nAn aptitude for general engineering (including mechanical) and problem solving (but the position primarily Electronics biased)
\nA structured, methodical approach
\nA team-player with a positive, flexible approach. - Able to adapt to situations as part of a team
\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook)
\nPrevious experience in Avionics, Aerospace or other highly regulated industry
\nAble to write clear, concise engineering reports
