\n Job description\n\nThe purpose of the role is to design, manage, coordinate, and deliver mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems throughout a project's lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and programme requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nTo develop and review MEICA designs and technical specifications.
\nManage the procurement of equipment and subcontractors for the project.
\nCoordinate mechanical, electrical, and control systems integration.
\nProvide support for installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
\nEnsure compliance is maintained in accordance with UK regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
\nMonitor project schedules, costs, risks, and quality performance.
\nLiaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
\nPrepare technical reports, design documentation, and handover records.
\nProvide technical support during construction and operational phases.
\nTypical Technical Knowledge
\nWorking knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, pipework, MCCs (Motor Control Centres), VSDs (Variable Speed Drives).
\nA solid understanding of PLC and SCADA systems.
\nExperience in instrumentation and control systems.
\nA strong background in water and wastewater treatment processes (for utility-sector roles).
\nAutoCAD and other engineering design software experience.
\nWorking knowledge of UK electrical and safety regulations.

- CSCS Card. \n
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Control, Automation, or related Engineering discipline. \n
- Previous water industry experience. \n
