About the role :
\n Rugby designs, manufactures and services highly engineered electrical machines and systems supporting critical energy, marine, defense and industrial applications across the world

Lead Production Quality :

\n
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the Production Quality organisation
  \n * Lead and develop Quality Engineers, Production Inspectors and Receiving Inspection teams
  \n * Establish a high-performance culture built around accountability, coaching and continuous improvement
  \n * Build capability through objectives, development planning and performance management
\n

Drive Manufacturing Quality :

\n * Lead production quality across all manufacturing areas
\n * Ensure product conformity throughout the manufacturing process
\n * Develop and optimise inspection strategies based on product risk
\n * Support production flow by balancing quality assurance with operational efficiency

Own Operational Governance :

\n
• Lead daily production quality governance
  \n * Own GO / NO GO decision-making processes
  \n * Lead Quality Hold governance and escalation
  \n * Drive Layered Process Audit deployment
  \n * Develop standard work and visual management across production
\n

Purpose :

\n Leads all production quality activities across manufacturing, ensuring product conformity, inspection effectiveness, governance, customer confidence and operational quality performance

What you'll bring

\n
• Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality degree / equivalent experience.
\n
• Manufacturing quality leadership.
\n
• UK security clearance.
\n
• Full UK Passport holder.
\n
• ISO 9001, RCA, CAPA, Lean and KPI management
  \n Stakeholder management and problem solving
  
\n

Desired Characteristics

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, rotating electrical machines, heavy engineering, aerospace, defence or power generation experience, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plans, digital dashboards and SAP.
