Electrical Estimator | Shrivenham (near Swindon) | Full Time 7:30 am4:30 pm or 8:00 am5:00 pm, Monday to Friday| Up to £65,000 (including car allowance)
\nOur client is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their well-respected and established team based in Shrivenham, close to Swindon.

\nThey typically operate within a 100-mile radius of their office. Work covers multiple disciplines, including pharmaceutical, manufacturing, high end residential, and commercial sites. These vary from £10,000 to circa £500,000.
\nThe Role
\nThe Electrical Estimator will be responsible for pricing and managing tenders across a range of project types. You will be expected to work independently from day one.
\nProjects are typically high-end residential, commercial, and high-end retirement villages/care homes, with values generally between £100,000£500,000.
\nMost work is office-based with occasional travel for client meetings and site surveys. Projects are generally within 11.5 hours of the office, and very rarely London.
\nPlease note: only candidates living within approximately a 40-minute commute of the office in Shrivenham will be considered.
\nKey responsibilities:

- Receiving enquiries from clients \n
- Completing an in-depth review of the enquiry, extending to contractual, health and safety, logistical and technical aspects of the opportunity \n
- Attending site meetings/surveys as required \n
- Sending/receiving enquiries to/from suppliers & specialist sub-contractors \n
- Preparing take-offs from drawings \n
- Preparation of tender price \n
- Presentation of the tender to the Director for approval prior to submittal \n
- Detailed tender submission \n
- Post-tender review meetings with clients \n
- Detailed tender handover report to Project Delivery Team \n
- Assisting in the development of colleagues such as Administrators or Junior Estimators \n
- Ownership of our established estimating package \n
- Attending client meetings and site surveys \n
- Confidence discussing commercial aspects of tenders (bonus, Operations Director supports negotiations) \n
What Were Looking For
\n- \n
- 5+ years of Electrical Estimating experience \n
- Can work independently from day one \n
- Experience pricing high-end projects, particularly: \n
- High-end residential \n
- Commercial \n
- High-end retirement villages/care homes \n
- Project values typically £100k£500k \n
- Understanding of JCT and NEC contracts \n
- Can attend client meetings and site surveys \n
- Commercially aware and able to discuss tender aspects \n
- Must have worked as an electrician previously (from a tools background) \n
- IT proficient with modern systems \n
- Organised, able to prioritise workload \n
- Ability to work to targets \n
- Adaptive and resilient \n
