Mentus Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading independent mental healthcare provider to recruit a Specialty Doctor for an established Adult Acute Inpatient Service in South West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care within a well-supported multidisciplinary team. You'll work on a adult acute inpatient ward, caring for working-age adults experiencing acute mental health difficulties, while benefiting from excellent consultant support, opportunities for professional development, and a positive working environment.

As the Specialty Doctor, you will play a key role in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of patients admitted to the adult acute ward. Working alongside an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, you will contribute to delivering safe, evidence-based care while participating in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical reviews, and care planning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans.
\n
• Provide high-quality medical care for adult inpatients with acute mental health conditions.
\n
• Participate in ward rounds, MDT meetings, and clinical reviews.
\n
• Assess new admissions and respond to clinical emergencies where required.
\n
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Support junior doctors and contribute to teaching and service development.
\n
• Work collaboratively with nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, and allied health professionals.
\n

You will have:

• Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practise.
\n
• Previous experience working in General Adult Psychiatry.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary working.
\n
• Experience within inpatient mental health settings is desirable.
\n
