The Role\nAs an Electrical Design Technician, you will play a central role in producing, reviewing, and managing high-quality technical designs across LV and HV networks.
\nYour key duties will include:

Producing detailed electrical design drawings, engineering reports, and comprehensive technical documentation.

Leading and managing electrical design projects from initial brief through to full completion.
\n - \n
Reviewing and checking LV and HV network designs created by other team members.
\n - \n
Managing electrical Points of Connection (POCs) and submitting designs to DNOs and IDNOs.
\n - \n
Liaising directly with third-party network owners and distribution network operators.
\n - \n
Ensuring all technical designs comply fully with G81 standards, NERS procedures, and Distribution Safety Rules.
\n - \n
Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior members of the design team.
\n - \n
Coordinating design progress meetings and allocating workloads effectively across the team.
\n
We are seeking a proactive technical professional with a solid background in electrical or utility design.
\nTo excel in this role, you will have:

Proven experience producing electrical designs within the utilities, power distribution, or infrastructure sector.
\n - \n
Working knowledge of DNO/IDNO processes and G81 standards.
\n - \n
Proficiency with CAD software and experience completing electrical network studies utilising tools such as WinDebut or VisNet.
\n - \n
Understanding of earthing studies and relevant industry safety regulations.
\n - \n
Relevant electrical qualifications suited to the level of the role.
\n - \n
Strong communication skills and the ability to organise, prioritise, and mentor effectively.
