Class 1 Shunter (Nights) Temp to Perm

  £19.16 per hour (£45,864+ per year)

  45 guaranteed hours per week

\n
• \n

  9-hour night shifts- 19:00-04:30am

\n
• \n

  Weekly pay once permanent

\n

Duties include:

\n
• \n

  Onsite trailer shunting using a tug unit (40ft & 44ft trailers)

\n
• \n

  Moving trailers to and from trailer parks and hubs

\n
• \n

  Coupling and de-coupling trailers

\n
• \n

  Completing vehicle and trailer safety checks

\n
• \n

  Pulling trailer curtains

\n
• \n

  Securing loads when required

\n
• \n

  Reporting any defects or damage

\n
• \n

  Scanning trailers and completing movement records

\n
• \n

  Adhering to all driving hours, CPC and site safety regulations

\n

Requirements:

\n
• \n

  Minimum 2 years' Class 1 (C+E) experience

\n
• \n

  No more than 6 penalty points

\n
• \n

  Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

\n
• \n

  Experience working in busy yard or site environments

\n
• \n

  Tug trained is desirable, but not essential

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 1 driver looking for guaranteed hours and a permanent role after 12 weeks.
