Day Shift

• £18.05 per hour First 45 hours
\n
• £27.08 per hour After 45 hours

Night Shift

• £21.66 per hour First 45 hours

• £32.50 per hour After 45 hours

We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work at the Distribution Centre in Warrington (WA2 8QT). This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading retail distribution operations, with the potential for permanent employment after 13 weeks (subject to business requirements).

Shift Times

Day (AM) Starts: 03:00 10:00
\n Night (PM) Starts: 10:00 19:00

During the first 13 weeks, shifts will include weekend working. Permanent positions may become available after this period, operating on a 5 days from 7 rota with weekends off on a rotational basis.

The Role

\n
• Delivering stock to retail stores across the UK.
\n
• Multi-drop deliveries (AM drivers average around 5 drops per shift).
\n
• Loading and unloading your own vehicle using a manual pump truck.
\n
• Handling palletised goods and garment rails this is a physically demanding role.
\n
• Collecting returns from stores and returning stock to the distribution centre.
\n
• Moving trailers between runs, with PM drivers also carrying out shunting duties.
\n
• Driving a modern fleet of Volvo FM vehicles with mirror camera technology, including standard trailers, urban trailers, double-deck trailers and occasional rigid vehicles.
\n

Routes cover areas including Birmingham, Kidderminster, North Wales, the Lake District and surrounding regions.

Full Training Provided

• Paid two-day site induction.
\n
• Up to five buddy shifts with an experienced driver.
\n
• Full training on handheld scanning/POD devices.
\n
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Minimum 12 months' continuous Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
\n
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
\n
• Valid Driver CPC
\n
• Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence
\n
• Safety Boots and Hi-Visibility Vest
\n
• A professional attitude with a willingness to undertake manual handling duties
\n
