Job Description

Jobstore are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our clients national team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of equipment and systems in sterile, medical and or clean room environments.

This role will be based North London/Home Counties areas.

\n

Duties

\n
    \n
  • Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with installation and project engineers to troubleshoot and resolve client-site problems
  • \n
  • Complete comprehensive site visit documentation, including detailed reports, modification records, and other required documents
  • \n
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with relevant teams and external customers
  • \n
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of field service best practices across the organisation
  • \n
\n

Provide comprehensive service, maintenance, repair, commissioning, and validation services for the following types of equipment:

  • Microbiological Safety Cabinets
  • \n
  • Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets
  • \n
  • Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinets
  • \n
  • Positive and Negative Pressure Isolators
  • \n
  • Glove Boxes
  • \n
  • Powder Control Booths
  • \n
  • Fume Cupboards
  • \n
  • Air Showers
  • \n
  • Clean Rooms
  • \n
  • Transportable Sterile Suites
  • \n
  • Air Handling Systems and Controls
  • \n
  • Operating Theatres
  • \n
  • Containment Suites
  • \n

Skills Required

\n
    \n
  • Proven engineering expertise in a sterile environment, preferably with BTECH/ONC qualification in an engineering discipline
  • \n
\n

Experience in some or all of the following areas is also highly desirable:

\n
    \n
  • ISO 9001 Quality systems
  • \n
  • Working under GMP conditions
  • \n
  • Maintaining and certifying equipment to British, European, or International Standards (BS EN 12469, ISO 14644, HTM03-01, GMP, P601)
  • \n
  • PLC-based control systems
  • \n
  • IIE 18th Edition
  • \n
  • Validation procedures, typically Installation and Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ)
  • \n
  • Control and Instrumentation systems
  • \n
  • Calibration systems
  • \n
  • Laboratory-type biomedical equipment
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • \n
  • Prior field service experience in a relevant technical field
  • \n
  • A flexible approach to travel, with a willingness to accommodate occasional customer visits outside of regular working hours (compensated at an enhanced overtime rate)
  • \n
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong self-management skills to achieve key targets and goals
  • \n
  • Proficient IT and analytical skills
  • \n
