Are you an experienced CNC Programmer looking for a role where you can genuinely utilise your programming skills rather than simply operating machinery?

We are recruiting for a skilled CNC Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Brownhills. Following significant investment in new machinery, including modern Doosan CNC machines, the business is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an experienced CNC Programmer who can programme, set and optimise production processes.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Programmer seeking a stable long-term position within a growing manufacturer that supplies precision-engineered components to customers worldwide.

The Role\n

As a CNC Programmer, your responsibilities will include:

    \n
  • Programming CNC machines using Fanuc controls
  • \n
  • Creating and modifying CNC programmes from engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Setting and proving out new jobs
  • \n
  • Optimising cycle times and production efficiency
  • \n
  • Tool selection, tooling offsets and machine set-up
  • \n
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Producing precision components to tight tolerances
  • \n
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities
  • \n
  • Maintaining high quality standards throughout production
  • \n
\n

You will primarily be working on modern Doosan machinery manufacturing components in:

    \n
  • Brass
  • \n
  • 316 Stainless Steel
  • \n
  • Aluminium
  • \n
\n

The company manufactures high-volume precision components, with batch sizes ranging from one-off components through to several thousand parts.

What We're Looking For\n

To be successful in this CNC Programmer position, you should have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous CNC Programming experience
  • \n
  • Fanuc controls experience
  • \n
  • CNC Milling experience (3-axis preferred)
  • \n
  • Experience setting and proving out CNC jobs
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • \n
  • Experience working within a precision engineering environment
  • \n
\n

Experience with Doosan machines would be beneficial but is not essential.

\n

Candidates with milling experience are particularly encouraged to apply, although exposure to CNC turning would also be advantageous.
