Requirements\n
\n

\n
• Must hold a?NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
\n
• Strong swimmer, capable of swimming a minimum of 50 metres
\n
• Able to tread water
\n
• Can dive into the deepest part of the pool (up to 1.8 metres)
\n
• Can swim breaststroke and front crawl to an adequate standard
\n
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team
\n

Responsibilities\n
\n

\n
• Constantlymonitorswimming areas toidentifypotential hazards or unsafe behaviour.
\n
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to promote safety and prevent accidents.
\n
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid asrequired.
\n
• Maintain clear communication with pool visitors, staff, and emergency services when necessary.
\n
• Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area, including equipment and surroundings.
\n
• Assistwith organising swimming lessons or aquatic programmes if needed.
\n
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
\n

Experience\n
\n

\n
• Previousexperience as a lifeguard or in a similar role
\n
• Knowledge of compliance management related to health and safety standards isadvantageous.
\n
• Strong communicationskills are essential for effective interaction with visitors and team members.
\n
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond efficiently during emergencies is vital. This position offers an engaging environment dedicated to community safety, requiring a proactive individual committed to upholdinghigh standardsof vigilance and care.
