An opportunity for an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join a growing service team, responsible for the maintenance, repair and breakdown response of lifts, escalators and moving walkways within a designated area. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, emergency callouts and ensuring all equipment remains safe, compliant and operational while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on lifts, escalators and moving walkways. \n
- Attend breakdowns, emergency callouts and passenger entrapments, restoring equipment to service safely. \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults. \n
- Complete repairs, component replacements and minor modernisation works. \n
- Carry out safety inspections and functional testing in line with EN 81-20/50 and relevant legislation. \n
- Complete digital service reports and maintenance records. \n
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide technical advice where required. \n
- Participate in the stand-by and night call rota. \n
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and spare parts stock. \n
- Work safely and comply with all Health & Safety procedures. \n
- \n
- NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Lift Engineering. \n
- Minimum of 5 years' experience servicing and repairing lifts. \n
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. \n
- Experience working with PLC and microprocessor-controlled lift systems. \n
- Good IT skills, including use of mobile service applications and Microsoft Office. \n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills. \n
- Full UK driving licence preferred. \n
