Assistant Director – Growth, Regeneration and Infrastructure

Location: London, hybrid working

Rate: £750 umbrella (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: till end of December 2026

As Assistant Director – Growth, Regeneration and Infrastructure, you will lead the Council's strategic growth agenda, bringing together regeneration, planning policy, infrastructure and housing delivery into a coordinated programme that delivers at pace and at scale.

Working across the Council and with developers, government, infrastructure providers and regional partners, you will secure investment, unlock complex development opportunities and ensure infrastructure keeps pace with growth.

Key Requirements:

• Lead the Council's long-term strategy for growth, regeneration and infrastructure

• Oversee major regeneration and infrastructure programmes and investment
\n
• Build strong partnerships with developers, investors and public sector partners
\n
• Lead the Council's approach to funding, capital investment and developer contributions
\n
• Provide strategic advice to Members and senior leaders on growth, regeneration and infrastructure
\n
• Drive innovation, transformation and high performance across your portfolio
\n

Key Responsibilities:

• Significant strategic leadership experience in regeneration, planning, development or infrastructure
\n
• A strong understanding of growth, investment, housing delivery and place-making
\n
• Commercial and financial expertise, including development viability and investment
\n
• Experience managing major programmes, budgets and organisational risk
