Management Accountant

Management Accountant Permanent Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm Stoke on Trent Up to £60,000 per annum dependant on experience Are you a Management Accountant looking to join a growing business where you can develop your skills, take on more responsibility and play a key role within the finance team? Our client is a successful logistics business based in Stoke-on-Trent. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to work closely alongside the Financial Controller and support the continued growth of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, owner-led business offering genuine progression, broad exposure across the finance function and the chance to become the Finance Manager's right-hand person.Key Responsibilities Working as part of a small finance team, you will support the Financial Controller across a broad range of management accounting duties while overseeing the day-to-day Purchase and Sales Ledger functions.\n

• Overseeing the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.
\n
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
\n
• Supporting budgets and forecasts.
\n
• Posting journals, including prepayments and accruals.
\n
• Assisting with the month-end process.
\n
• Supporting stock control and stock reconciliations.
\n
• Assisting with finance process improvements and ad hoc projects.
\n

Skills & Experience Required\n

\n
• CIMA or ACCA qualified,
\n
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant role.
\n
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, journals, accruals and prepayments.
\n
• Sage experience (essential).
\n
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, reporting and analysing financial data to support decision-making.
\n
• Experience within a stock-led environment would be advantageous.
\n
• Proactive, organised and keen to develop within a growing business.
\n
