Our organization is actively looking for a full-time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to become a part of our esteemed Hauenstein Neurosciences Team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Hauenstein Neurosciences program stands as the most comprehensive and established Neuroscience initiative in the region. We specialize in a wide array of conditions affecting the nervous system, including epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders, and spine care. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and the latest treatment techniques, we emphasize a compassionate approach to healing the mind, body, and spirit. Our team comprises the most experienced professionals in the area, dedicated to crafting personalized treatment plans for each patient.
Practice Highlights:- We are the sole provider of Neuro-Ophthalmology services in West Michigan, offering thorough evaluations and treatments for conditions impacting visual pathways and eye movement control.
- Our services encompass:
- Diagnosis and management of visual issues linked to the nervous system.
- Assessment and treatment of sudden or unexplained vision loss.
- Neuro-Ophthalmologic testing, including visual acuity, visual field assessments, pupillary reactivity, color perception, ocular alignment, and optical coherence tomography.
- Comprehensive education for patients and their families.
- We operate under a robust interdisciplinary care model, collaborating with RNs, MAs, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSWs, Patient Support Coordinators, as well as Physical and Occupational Therapists, and Vestibular Rehabilitation specialists.
- We are recognized as a partner in MS Care by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
- General neurology consultations may be part of your responsibilities as your practice develops.
- Physicians must hold board certification in their specialty or be board eligible, with a commitment to achieving board certification within two years of eligibility.
- A valid Michigan state medical license is required upon employment.
- DEA license is necessary.
- BLS certification is required, with ongoing recertification.
