\nRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology
\nto join our growing OB/GYN team.
\nThe ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience performing comprehensive
\nobstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations in a busy physician office setting. This
\nposition requires exceptional technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing
\ncompassionate, high-quality patient care.
\nThe Opportunity
\nJoin a collaborative team of board-certified OB/GYN physicians dedicated to delivering
\nexceptional women's healthcare. As an integral member of our clinical team, you will perform
\nhigh-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while working closely with physicians to ensure
\naccurate diagnoses and outstanding patient outcomes.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nPerform comprehensive obstetric ultrasound examinations, including:
\n%CF; First trimester dating and viability studies
\n%CF; Nuchal translucency examinations (if certified)
\n%CF; Second trimester fetal anatomy surveys
\n%CF; Third trimester growth ultrasounds
\n%CF; Biophysical profiles (BPPs)
\n%CF; Cervical length, fetal presentation, placental, and amniotic fluid assessments
\nPerform comprehensive gynecologic ultrasound examinations, including:
\n%CF; Transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasounds
\n%CF; Evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids,
\nadnexal masses, infertility, and other gynecologic conditions
\n%CF; IUD localization and other physician-requested studies
\nClinical & Operational Standards:
\n%CF; Obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with AIUM and ACOG guidelines.
\n%CF; Recognize abnormal findings and promptly communicate urgent results to the
\ninterpreting physician.
\n%CF; Accurately document ultrasound findings and measurements in the electronic medical
\nrecord.
\n%CF; Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout the examination.
\n%CF; Maintain ultrasound equipment and participate in quality assurance activities.
\n%CF; Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative
\nstaff to provide efficient, patient-centered care.
\nRequirements
\n%CF; Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS
\nwith OB/GYN specialty certification required.
\n%CF; Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience performing obstetric and gynecologic
\nultrasound examinations in an outpatient or clinic setting.
\n%CF; Clinical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in first, second, and third trimester obstetric
\nimaging, as well as extensive experience performing transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound
\nexaminations.
\n%CF; Knowledge Base: Strong working knowledge of fetal anatomy, obstetric dating, and
\ngynecologic pathology.
\n%CF; Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a
\nstrong commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
\nPreferred Qualifications
\n%CF; Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
\n%CF; Experience performing fetal echocardiography is a plus.
\n%CF; Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR system preferred.
