Industrial Services Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Services Supervisor to lad field operations supporting fuel tank cleaning, industrial maintenance, environmental remediation, and hazardous waste projects throughout Arizona and surrounding states.

The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial services, with extensive knowledge of aboveground and underground fuel tank cleaning, confined space operations, hazardous waste handling, vacuum truck operations, hydro blasting, and industrial safety requirements. This position requires a hands-on leader who can safely direct crews, maintain high productivity, build strong customer relationships, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Field Operations

• Supervise daily industrial services operations including:

• Fuel tank cleaning (AST and UST)

• Tank entry and cleaning

• Sludge removal

• Vacuum truck operations

• Hydro excavation

• Hydro blasting

• Industrial cleaning

• Hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling

1. Lead multiple crews simultaneously while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety.

2. Develop daily work plans and assign personnel, equipment and resources.

3. Coordinate mobilization and demobilization activities.

4. Monitor project progress and adjust resources as needed.

5. Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget expectations.

Fuel Tank Cleaning and Industrial Services Expertise

• Direct tank cleaning operations involving petroleum products, diesel, gasoline, oils, and other industrial materials.

• Ensure proper isolation, atmospheric testing, ventilation, and confined space procedures.

• Oversee waste characterization and disposal requirements.

• Troubleshoot field challenges and implement safe, effective solutions.

Safety Leadership

• Ensure Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) are completed before work begins.

• Enforce OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety requirements.

• Conduct site safety inspections and corrective actions.

• Ensure proper PPE selection and usage.

Crew Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop field personnel.

• Train employees on equipment operation and safe work practices.

• Conduct performance coaching and provide constructive feedback.

• Promote accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete daily reports, timecards, production reports, and equipment inspections.

• Maintain manifests, shipping papers, waste documentation, and project records.

• Ensure regulatory compliance documentation is accurate and complete.

• Utilize company software systems for reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 5-7 years of industrial services experience required.

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.

• Extensive experience cleaning:

• Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs)

• Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)

• Petroleum storage systems

• Industrial process tanks

• Deep Experience with:

• Vacuum trucks

• Hydro blasting

• Hydro excavation

• Confined space entry

• Hazardous waste operations

• Strong understanding of industrial equipment and field operations.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%.

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

• CDL preferred or ability to obtain.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (required or ability to obtain)

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction

• Confined Space Entry & Rescue

• First Aid / CPR / AED

• TWIC Card

• DOT Hazmat

• Respiratory Protection

• Forklift Certification

• Excavation Competent Person (preferred)

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of industrial cleaning operations.

• Strong understanding of fuel storage systems.

• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and environmental regulations.

• Ability to read project specifications and work plans.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.
